Few academics have any training in how the book publishing process works, and few universities or colleges have staff with any book publishing experience. The Academic Publishing Workshop will combine:
Wednesday, May 30 or Friday, June 1st: Meet with Dr. Emblidge for a One-On-One Consultation
One-on-one consultations with a skilled, experienced acquisitions editor. Once you have registered, a separate email will be sent stating the items requested to facilitate your one-on-one consultation.
Thursday, May 31st: Academic Publishing Workhop
An overview of the publishing process as seen from both the author’s and the publisher’s viewpoints. Information on where to sell your book and how to negotiate a reasonable publishing contract.
